could be done , what would be done, if people had the ability to act in the way they truly wish to: in the imagined life. these monsters can do anything in this life, especially if you make them. so i make them, out of felt and fur and sculpey and other things, they are my models and i set them up in situations that i enjoy. using my collection of tiny toys as their accoutrements and old photographic history books, papers, and encyclopedias as back drops, i take their photographs. those books are unfortunately discarded because of the internet and all if its wonders, but the wealth of interesting photography they contain is one of my treasures.

my grandfather, the professional magician, once told me that my collection of troll dolls came to life, in the depths of the back yard, after i worriedly told him they had disappeared.

i never ventured to that place in the yard for fear that they may come out and take me away with them. i am sure i draw from that mysterious troll disappearance experience, ever trying to go back to that place where they were, and now choose instead to go with them.
